Some of my fondest memories of elementary school have to do with FIELD TRIPS. The Science Center and the Aquarium in Seattle were a guaranteed good time, even though it seems like we went every year. The best school trip by far was a week spent on Orcas Island (one of the San Juan islands) in the 6th grade, where my classmates and I had as much fun as you can legally have when you're 12 years old.

I still enjoy going on day/weekend trips (which my friend and I call field trips, hence the reminiscing above) and sometimes I remember to take my camera...
